Women’s Volleyball: Recruiting Roundup – Addicted To Quack

Oregon volleyball head coach Trent Kersten continues to retool and elevate the Ducks’ roster with a dynamic mix of international stars, Power 5 transfers, and elite prep talent. The 2025 recruiting class features 12 newcomers from across the U.S. and around the world, each bringing high-level experience, athleticism, and championship pedigree to Eugene.

The goal is to build a program that competes at the highest level, and this group is a major step forward. They bring a blend of veteran leadership, international firepower, and young talent ready to grow.

Cora Taylor

5-9 | Setter | Independence, Ky. (St. Henry HS/Butler)

Taylor arrives as a three-year starter at Butler, where she racked up over 3,000 assists and 32 double-doubles. A 2022 BIG EAST All-Freshman selection, she led the league in assists as a sophomore and owns eight career matches with 50+ assists. Taylor brings a steady presence, veteran leadership, and a complete skillset to Oregon’s setter group.

Orian Drore

5-7 | Libero/Defensive Specialist | Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (Cypress Bay HS/Tennessee)

A redshirt freshman with USA Volleyball NTDP experience, Drore is a fiery and instinctive defender. She trained with top club Tribe Volleyball and helped win a state title while making back-to-back national appearances. Expect highlight-reel digs and an energetic presence on the court.

Iva Šucurovic

6-3 | Middle Blocker | Zrenjanin, Serbia (OK Železnicar Lajkovac)

Named Best Middle Blocker at the 2024 U23 European Championships, Šucurovic brings elite international experience to Oregon. She played in the European Champions League and competed for Serbia in the 2024 Volleyball Nations League. Her quickness and instincts at the net make her a powerful addition to the middle.

Valentina Vaulet

6-1 | Opposite/Outside Hitter | Córdoba, Argentina (Michigan)

A 2024 All-Big Ten performer and one of the NCAA’s most dangerous servers (63 aces), Vaulet adds firepower and versatility to Oregon’s attack. The Argentina native totaled nearly 600 kills in two seasons at Michigan and was the best scorer at the 2022 U21 Pan Am Cup. She can impact the game from both pins and behind the line.

Ksenija Tomic

6-2 | Outside Hitter | Belgrade, Serbia (OK Železnicar Lajkovac)

Tomic was named the top outside hitter in Serbia’s Super League and earned MVP honors at the 2023 Balkan U21 Championships. A VNL roster selection for Serbia, she brings six-rotation capability, fearlessness, and a proven ability to score and defend at the international level.

Maria Tabacuks

6-4 | Outside Hitter | Cannes, France (Volero le Cannet)

Tabacuks has played in France’s top professional league with Volero le Cannet and is on Germany’s VNL roster pool. A powerful and precise attacker, she’s a two-time French U18 champion and brings professional-level maturity and polish to Oregon’s gym.

Sophia Meyers

5-11 | Outside Hitter | Seattle, Wash. (Eastside Catholic HS/LMU)

A graduate transfer, Meyers is a seasoned competitor with 1,250 kills and over 1,000 digs in her collegiate career. She was First Team All-WCC in 2024 and starred in the NCAA Tournament with 21 kills vs. Washington. A three-time all-conference pick, she’ll offer two-way stability and leadership on the outside.

Marlee Arrington

6-0 | Opposite | Glendora, Calif. (Ontario Christian HS/LMU)

Arrington was a WCC All-Freshman selection last year, putting up 128 kills and 43 blocks. She has one of the strongest arms in the country and thrived in postseason play, including a clutch performance in LMU’s NCAA win over Washington. Her physicality and upside are exciting for Oregon’s right-side depth.

Alanah Clemente

6-2 | Opposite | Santa Clarita, Calif. (Bishop Alemany HS)

A two-time All-CIF performer and a dominant force for her high school and club teams, Clemente brings size, athleticism, and six-rotation experience. She’s helped win two CIF titles and was named Club Player of the Year twice with Supernova All-Stars.

Jillian McCarty

6-1 | Setter | Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (Westminster Academy)

A versatile setter with four double-doubles and two triple-doubles last fall, McCarty is one of the top young competitors in the country. She led Westminster to national tournament finishes and brings assertiveness and scoring ability to the position.

Holley McFadden

6-4 | Middle Blocker | Bainbridge Island, Wash. (Bainbridge HS)

McFadden is a two-time Olympic League Player of the Year and All-State First Team honoree. She led Bainbridge to a perfect league record and deep playoff runs, finishing with 532 kills and 71 blocks across her junior and senior years. Her size and commitment to development make her one to watch.
