Trail Blazers’ Scoot Henderson Under Evaluation for Possible Concussion
Portland Trail Blazers guard Scoot Henderson is being evaluated for a possible concussion, Aaron Fentress of The Oregonian has reported.
During Portland’s 128-107 road loss to the Sacramento Kings Thursday night, Henderson missed a layup with 32 seconds left in the third quarter and fell to the court. It’s not clear if that’s when presumed contact to the head occurred. He finished out the third quarter but did not take the court when play resumed for the fourth quarter.
Henderson played 24 minutes against Sacramento, scoring six points on 2-8 shooting with six assists. The second-year guard is averaging 12.7 points and 5.1 assists in 26.7 minutes per game in 66 appearances this season.
The Trail Blazers next take the court Sunday on the road against the New York Knicks at 3 p.m. Pacific. Including Sunday’s game, only eight games remain in Portland’s regular season.
