Report: Lillard Open to Signing With a Team Under the Right Conditions

Free agent and former Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard is open to signing with a new team, but only under the right terms and conditions, reports NBA Insider Chris Haynes.

The report suggested Lillard already had “ample interest” but was in no rush to make a decision.

The Milwaukee Bucks waived and stretched the nine-time All Star earlier this week after the point guard tore his achilles during the NBA Playoffs.

Earlier this week Haynes suggested that before the Bucks waived him, there were concerns from within the organization about Lillard continuing his rebab in Portland around family.

“Aaron Goodwin, Damian Lillard’s agent, about a month ago reached out to the Bucks and informed them that Dame would like to rehab back home in Portland and stay with his kids,” Haynes said in an NBA TV hit. “I was told that some people within the Bucks did not approve of that, and there was kind of some back-and-forth right there.”

Lillard’s hope to rehab in Portland may be a factor when deciding on his next team.
