Portland’s Tov Coffee Is Selling Its Iconic Double-Decker Bus

Portland’s Tov Coffee Is Selling Its Iconic Double-Decker Bus

A decade ago, lacking the money to open a proper coffee shop, Joseph Nazir bought a red double-decker bus in San Diego for $10,000 and brought it up to Portland. Until he got a brick-and-mortar in 2023, that bus served as his Egyptian coffee shop, Tov Coffee, and has become a quirky landmark on Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard.

Now, reports KOIN 6, Nazir is selling the bus, which has become a hassle, especially now that he serves customers in a building. “It was just a lot of money going out with maintenance and keeping the heat and all that,” the owner told KOIN 6.

So… can you have it? Nazir said that he is hoping to get between $75,000 and $100,000 for it, which he thinks is a fair price given its history and the renovation he undertook to make it a coffee shop. “He would also accept $50,000,” KOIN 6 writes, “with the hope that the new owner would preserve it.” Interested buyers can reach him on Instagram.
