Trail Blazers center Donovan Clingan was evaluated today after he left Tuesday night’s game vs. Brooklyn. It has been determined to be a mild left ankle sprain.
Clingan will be re-evaluated in one week and updates will be given as appropriate.
The 7-foot-2 center sustained the injury at the 1:15 mark of the fourth quarter. He jumped to contest a shot by Brooklyn’s Noah Clowney, and dropped to the ground on landing. Clingan immediately exited the game and headed to the locker room.
Earlier this season, Clingan missed seven consecutive games between Nov. 25 and Dec. 8 due to a grade 2 left knee sprain.
In 31 appearances this season, including eight starts, Clingan has averaged 5.6 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 16.6 minutes per game.
