Oregon Football: Heisman odds – Addicted To Quack
This college football offseason the similar theme I’m gathering is that for many of college football’s biggest programs it is a year of change. The consensus pre-season Top 4 last off-season of Ohio State, Oregon, Georgia, and Texas all have new starting QBs which has lead to a lot of hype around Penn State and Clemson given what those two programs not only return at QB but the rest of their roster as well. This makes for a very interesting pre-season Heisman market that has presumed Oregon Ducks starting QB Dante Moore 10th in Heisman odds. Here is the full top 9
- Arch Manning QB Texas +700
- Garrett Nussmeier QB LSU +800
- Cade Klubnik QB Clemson +900
- Jeremiah Smith WR Ohio State +1300
- Drew Allar QB Penn State +1400
- Julian Sayin QB Ohio State +1500
- DJ Lagway QB Florida +1800
- John Mateer QB Oklahoma
- LaNorris Sellers QB South Carolina +1900
- Dante Moore +2000 QB Oregon
The Heisman can be a very tricky thing to bet on, especially during the pre-season. To illustrate this here are last years Top 10 pre-season Heisman odds
- Dillon Gabriel QB Oregon +700 – Finished 3rd in Heisman Voting
- Carson Beck QB Georgia +750 – Received No Heisman Votes – Transferred to Miami
- Quinn Ewers QB Texas +1000 – Received No Heisman Votes
- Jalen Milroe QB Alabama +1000 – Received No Heisman Votes
- Jaxson Dart QB Ole Miss +1200 – Received No Heisman Votes
- Will Howard QB Ohio State +1400 – Received No Heisman Votes
- Nico Iamaleava QB Tennessee +1500 – Received No Heisman Votes – Transferred to UCLA
- Garrett Nussmeier QB LSU +2000 – Received No Heisman Votes
- Cam Ward QB Miami +2000 – Finished 4th in Heisman Voting
- Riley Leonard QB Notre Dame +2000 – Received No Heisman Votes
My advice for how to play Dante Moore hinges on the Penn State game. If you are confident Oregon will be able to pull off a statement win in the Whiteout then I would bet Moore now and then cash out when Moore’s odds theoretically should increase by then but before the politics of the Heisman might get in the way. If you are less confident Oregon can win that specific game but are still high on Dante Moore, then I would bet on Moore after the Penn State game.
