Oregon Ducks Softball Rained Out In Seattle

Oregon softball was originally scheduled to play Seattle University today at 3:00 pm, but this morning the game was moved to 2:00 pm, in anticipation of rain that could disrupt the game.

Unfortunately, that proved to be not early enough.

The game was postponed due to lightning in the area at the end of the 4th inning, and did not resume due to rain.

Elise Sokolsky pitched well, allowing no runs on three hits. She struck out three and walked one.

For the second consecutive game, Stefini Ma’ake hit a bases-clearing, 3 RBI double. Unfortunately, Oregon could not make it stick yesterday against the Huskies, and then today the weather gods decided it would not count.

The Ducks come back to Eugene this coming weekend for a series against Illinois. Game 1 is Friday at 6:00 pm PT.

And yes – this coming weekend has rain in the forecast, all weekend…
