New York Knicks Are Also Looking at Available Coaches to Fill Vacancy
The New York Knicks haven’t been shy about finding a head coach to replace recently dispatched Tom Thibodeau. Earlier in the week, multiple reports suggested the Knicks had requested to speak to a list of active head coaches.
The list included Houston Rockets’ Ime Udoka, Minnesota Timberwolves’ Chris Finch, Dallas Mavericks’ Jason Kidd, Atlanta Hawks’ Quin Snyder and Chicago Bulls’ Billy Donovan.
ESPN’s Shams Charania has updated the targets with two names who currently do not have a head coaching job in Taylor Jenkins and Mike Brown.
The New York Knicks are planning to meet with ex-Memphis Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins and former Sacramento Kings coach Mike Brown next week for their head coaching job, sources tell ESPN. First formal interviews for the Knicks vacancy, and more could come.

Jenkins was let go by the Memphis Grizzlies in March, just weeks before the end of the regular season. Brown was fired by the Sacramento Kings in December after taking the Californian franchise to its first NBA Playoffs in decades.
The Knicks parted ways with former head coach Tom Thibodeau, days after the Knicks were ousted form the Eastern Conference Finals by the Indiana Pacers in six games.
