Jabari Walker Bids Farewell to Portland
The Portland Trail Blazers didn’t extend a qualifying offer to Jabari Walker this offseason, with the result that Walker became an unrestricted free agent. On July 3rd, the Philadelphia 76ers signed Walker to a two-way contract, ending his run in Portland after three seasons.
Walker said his goodbyes via Instagram.
Walker thanked the front office, coaches, staff, and teammates. He gave a special shoutout to Rip City for the energy, memories and love.
The Blazers drafted Walker with the 57th overall pick in the 2022 draft. He finished the 2024-25 season averaging 5.2 points and 3.5 points per game, down from his career highs of 8.9 points and 7.1 rebounds the previous season.
