How Do You Watch the Blazers? How Good Is It?

How Do You Watch the Blazers? How Good Is It?

The NBA broadcast landscape will change this year as the league’s new TV rights deal comes into effect. This isn’t just a simple switch from one network to another. Coverage of NBA games, already somewhat balkanized, will spread over multiple broadcast sources and diverse delivery methods. You’ll have more options to watch the sport than ever before, but you’ll also have to employ more options in order to consume the product fully.

Portland Trail Blazers fans are already somewhat familiar with this phenomenon. In-market games have a couple of sources at least. Out-of-market games require more.

Surveying the landscape, we’re asking you today: How do you watch Trail Blazers games? How do you find the quality?

Share with us whether you live in Portland or outside of the area. Let us know how you access game broadcasts. Also let us know what the general quality level is. For instance, I’ve found that streaming on Sling to get ESPN broadcasts is almost always seamless, but streaming on NBA League Pass is far from it. Let us know what quirks and foibles you have encountered and how your access is in general.

We’ll ask this question again a couple months into the season to gauge the effect, if any, of the new broadcast set-up.
