Establishing Sapporo and Portland as Sister Cities
The agreement for the establishment of a Sister City relationship between the City of Portland and the City of Sapporo, signed 1959.
Sapporo was the first, but today Portland has nine sister cities and one friendship city. You can learn more about Portland’s international relationships here.
