The Best Happy Hours in Vancouver, Washington
Remedy House, a tasting room for 3 Howls spirits, is located in a stately Victorian gothic where food is served on pretty vintage platters and moon cycles are appreciated. Happy hour, or “remedy hour,” runs daily from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and all day Monday, plus BOGO spirit flights on Sundays. Although Remedy House is no longer 100 percent vegan, it’s still one of the few options in Vancouver with plentiful vegan options, and everything on their plant-forward menu is discounted during happy hour, making choosing more difficult but meals more varied and shareable. Hearty salads like the charred cabbage with fermented tea leaves, fried shallots, and roasted peanuts, or the radicchio dressed in herby tahini and gremolata come in large, scoopable portions for $15 or less; a large platter of fries runs $7 and is served with vegan aioli; $8 complex, classic draft cocktails include a paper plane and last word; and rotating slushies, like an Aperol frosé and a mezcal passion fruit margarita, are also priced at $8.
