Team Shaq Defeats Team Chuck to Win 2025 NBA All-Star Game
Team Shaq’s OGs won the 2025 NBA All-Star Game in San Francisco Sunday night, besting Team Chuck’s Global Stars, 41-25, in the final game of the event’s new mini-tournament format. Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry took home the Kobe Bryant All-Star Game MVP Award in front of the Bay Area crowd.
Curry registered 12 points and four rebounds in the final, scoring all his points from beyond the 3-point arc. Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum led Team Shaq in scoring with 15 points on 6-7 shooting.
On the losing side, San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama led Team Chuck with 11 points in the final.
Semifinal Games
To get to the championship game, Team Shaq defeated Team Candace’s Rising Stars, 42-35, in the most competitive contest of the mini-tournament. Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard took just one shot and went scoreless in the final, but he led Team Shaq in the semifinal with nine points and two assists while shooting 3-5 from the floor.
Lillard hit the game-winning 3-pointer, getting Team Shaq to the target score of 40 after the team had been stuck on 39 for several possessions. Curry helped his MVP campaign by scoring eight points.
Team Chuck reached the final by beating Team Kenny’s Young Stars, 41-32. Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led Team Chuck with 12 points on 5-5 shooting. Wembanyama added six points, four rebounds and a block while showing arguably the most hustle of any player all night.
Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro, Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland and Cavs big Evan Mobley all scored six points apiece in the losing effort for Team Kenny.
