Prolific Filipino Restaurateurs Launch Six-Month Hotel Restaurant Residency

What it is: Famed Filipino cart Baon Kainan’s Geri and Ethan Leung’s newest outfit is a Pinoy brunch project inside the Hoxton Hotel dubbed Pamana. Head over for longanisa breakfast sandwiches and loads of lumpia. Pamana will run for at least six months, with a dinner service to come.

What it is: After a decade of wholesale operations, Rosenstadt is now pouring its own beer in Portland at long last. Cheese pretzels, lots of salami, and raspberry almond bars are on the food side of things. The operation takes over the former Culmination Brewing space.
When it opens: Friday, August 29

What it is: A brand new South Waterfront pizza parlor showcases a wide array of cuisines atop crust and sauce. Thai, Indian, Pakistani, and other varieties of pie live on the menu alongside salads, mozzarella sticks, and slices of chocolate cake.
When it opens: Monday, September 1

What it is: Cartopia’s newest player is a testament to all things burgers, hot dogs, fries, and good times. That’s what Bridgetown Bites reported as co-owners Mike McKinney and Andrey Sitnikov’s intent for their new project.

What it is: ICYMI: This queer-owned counter-service cafe opened in the former Arleta Library Cafe space in May. That said, an Eater Portland tipster reached out to let us know that the business has become a fast friend to the neighborhood. Pull up for street food favorites including shawarma and falafel sandwiches, plus Arabic coffee.
