Oregon Ducks Football Poll: Favorite Road Trip Stadiums
Autzen stadium is the home of Oregon football, but about half the time they have to play at somebody else’s house. Even die hard fans can’t make it to every away game in person, but most of us have managed to be in attendance at least once when the Ducks were wearing away jerseys.
Local opponents mean many Duck fans have been to the potato-salad-palace and the mistake-on-the-lake. Martin Stadium on the Palouse was never an easy place for the team to get a win, but it’s still in the PNW so I’m sure many have seen games there. Last year I had a chance to travel to Ann Arbor to visit old friends and take in a game at the Big House. While I wouldn’t trade Autzen for anything, I must say Michigan Stadium was a great experience. Logistics were simple, despite the more than 100,000 in attendance, and the sight lines are so well done I didn’t feel any further away from the action than I do when I am looking down on Rich Brooks field.
What about you? What is your favorite stadium to visit? This is subjective and can be any combination of ease of travel, the in stadium experience, personal memories, or just which fan base is least obnoxious to visitors. Given that the new conference affiliation only began last season, I’ve included all the old Pac-12 stadiums as well as last years B1G opponents.
